The charming place to be: Steinenschanze Stadthotel, Basel

The hotel is led by Ms. M.M. Nazarek and is run as STEINENSCHANZE Stadthotel with a clear economic orientation.

All its rooms were equipped with box spring beds and real wood flooring in 2016, the small charming rooms are overlooking the garden.  Features such as the cozy lounge, as well as the beautiful garden in the middle of the city, make your stay unique – not to mention the incredibly rich breakfast buffet!

During the last major renovation in 2016, GRANDER water revitalization was installed in the main water supply line.  The main reasons for this were ecological aspects.

A GRANDER drinking station was installed on each floor of the hotel.  Designed by our clientele and implemented in co-operation with a joinery workshop.  As Ms. Nazarek tells us, the water tastes smoother and more velvety – this has also been confirmed by the hotel guests.  The guests use the GRANDER drinking station and fill the water right into glass carafes, which are available in the hotel rooms.  This allows each guest to drink as much GRANDER water as he or she wants.

Due to the reduced lime scale deposits, the cleaning efforts have been reduced by 10% - 20%.  The investment regarding the drinking stations has paid for itself within approx. 2 years.
