Rene Fleischli, the company's founder, says, "I have always lived 100% of my responsibilities as a food provider."  This includes, among other things, the fact that GRANDER® water has been used exclusively for over 15 years.  Rene Fleischli comments, "Thanks to the use of GRANDER® water, flour binds much more water and can be processed more gently resulting in more compact doughs and an even better quality of the baked goods."  In 2010, production and the other branch locations were switched over to GRANDER®, which has since then also been served to the guests in the various cafe restaurants.  

March 1st 1986: Niederglatt has around 3,200 inhabitants, a village like many in the Zurich sub-region with a high proportion of commuters who earn their living in the economic conurbation around Zurich. A day like many others and yet a very special day for Elsbeth and René Fleischli. Since on March 1, 1986, together with a team of four bakers and a saleswoman, they started a life of self-employment, the long working days and the responsibility towards employees, with the opening of their village bakery.

March 1st 2016: around 4,750 inhabitants live in Niederglatt, residential construction is big, the village has changed. But what remains unchanged is the bakery Conditorei Fleischli AG as a favourite place of shopping for oven-fresh pastries, finest desserts, healthy take-away offers and with the café-restaurant also a popular meeting place for young and old. However, the logo known throughout the region can no longer be seen only in Niederglatt, and a further nine locations have been added in the past thirty years. The company, now under the operational management of Managing Director Konrad Pfister, employs more than 300 employees and promotes more than 20 young trainees.
