Winners of "Kids Activities World Water Day 2014" presented to you

For most children water offers a great activity and adventure:  whether that's wading in a lake or swimming pool, the discovery of water parks or a wild snowball fight in winter - WATER fascinates and excites in many ways.

However, water is precious, and is by no means limitless.  For this reason it is important to teach our children and youth that water is much more than an exciting playground.

Every year on World Water Day GRANDER wants to motivate families, teachers, students and children alike to take a close look at this precious resource, namely water, and to develop awareness for an appreciative approach to water. The task of World Water Day 2014 is:  "What does water mean to you for your everyday life?"  From the submitted projects on this topic a jury selected 3 "winners":

  • the 3rd & 4th class at Jochberg Elementary School, that worked on the topic of WATER throughout the entire school year and placed the focus on water at their First Communion as well
  • the children of the Child Care Facility in Seefeld with their awesome drawings, which were full of fantasy
  • Alena Hahn, a pupil in the 4th class at Schoenbach Elementary School, for her fascinating dolphin

During the last weeks of school the children of the Child Care Facility along with their teacher Evelyn Daschil were invited to a swimming pool for a swim and some playtime and were awarded their prize of a GRANDER summer package.

Alena Hahn was presented with a GRANDER Surprise package as her prize.

The pupils of Jochberg Elementary school along with their principal Wilfried Leitzinger and their teacher Sandra Widmair were invited to an exciting morning at GRANDER including a tour of the historical mine Kupferplatte". This event was supported by the Raiffeisenbank Kitzbuehel/Jochberg, who provided the children with a healthy snack.

At the end of the event the children were thrilled to receive GRANDER caps and water bottles, so that they won't forget to drink WATER during their holiday activities...
