Get moving and support a movement!

"Running for water and new drinking fountains in Cambodia" - this motto was the driving force for 450 runners and Nordic Walkers at the 5 Bridges Race in Steyermuehl on Saturday September 6th, 2014.

A distance of 10 km was chosen along the Traun because many people in Cambodia have to run this distance to reach clean drinking water.  In this way a conscious approach to our precious resource - water - is taken.

Every Euro from the entry fee is used for the fountain building project and the support in the villages is unbelievably high when a new fountain is built and celebrated with an official opening.  Mr. Khemara Keo from the United Nations in Vienna (UN International Centre Vienna) visited and race event and was very pleased with the initiative of the organisers and participants.  He was also very enthusiastic about the support by GRANDER.

Initiator Fritz Kieninger reports on this year's 5 Bridge Race:

"We are pleased that the company GRANDER as well as Marketing Leader Heinz Breuer always support our projects and have already sponsored 3 drinking water fountains for Cambodia.  Consequently, we have provided 4,500 more people with drinking water.

This has been a huge success for us, and we can, once again, help many people in Cambodia."
